Print, PDF and share a petty cash book
A saved petty cash book can be printed on paper, saved as a PDF, or sent straight to the owner or accountant on WhatsApp or e-mail. Pick a design and paper size first.
Step by step
- Choose a design. Under Notes and look pick Classic, Modern, Compact, Bold, Elegant, Bill book and Minimal. The preview changes at once; the colour can be changed too.
- Choose the paper. Paper size: A4 (normal page), A5 (half page), Thermal roll 80 mm or Thermal roll 58 mm. A5 prints two to a sheet size; thermal suits a counter printer.
- Add notes. Type Notes and Terms and conditions if needed; they print at the bottom.
- Save first. Press Save, so the printed copy matches the saved one.
- Print / PDF. Press Print / PDF. In the print window choose your printer, or "Save as PDF" to keep a file.
- Share. Press Share. On a phone the share sheet opens with the PDF (WhatsApp, Gmail…); on a computer the PDF is downloaded so you can attach it.
Worked example
A shop prints its petty cash books on A5 in the Compact design to save paper, and shares a PDF on WhatsApp with customers who ask for one. The printed petty cash book is always in English; the screen can be in your language.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- Browser adds date and web address at the top of the print. In the print window open More settings and untick Headers and footers.
- Thermal print is cut or tiny. Choose the roll width (80 or 58 mm) under Paper size, and in the print window set margins to None.
- Share does nothing on a computer. Computers download the PDF instead; attach it in WhatsApp Web or e-mail.
